History Display update, Live Internet streaming, and something free!

For Immediate Release:

Amiga 30th @ The Computer History Museum
Mountain View, CA

Work continues at our secret headquarters buried in Silicon Valley. A crew of dedicated volunteers are toiling in the hot sun to prepare the exhibits and materials for the show.

The marque feature of the exhibit hall will be the Dave Morse History of the Amiga Display. Along with Jay Miner, Dave Morse was one of the guiding forces to making the Amiga Computer a reality. Sadly Dave has passed away but his legacy lives on.

So what does the Dave Morse  History of the Amiga Display entail? A collection of over 25 Amiga systems, all running, with software and other period peripherals. Remember the DCTV? Ever used a DigiView? How about X-Specs? These and more will be on hand to touch and use. “Remember when Computing was fun”, on July 25th and 26th it will be again.

“Remember when Computing was fun”?

Come to the Computer History Museum on July 25th and 26th it will be again!

As for the systems, here’s the short list: A1000, A2000, A500, A3000, A3000T, A3000UX, A600, A1200, A4000, AmigaOneXE, Sam440, MorphOS on MacMini, AmigaOneX1000, MorphOS on a portable, Individual Computers’ Chameleon, and the A-Eon AmigaOneX5000. Each system configured, running and ready to be used by attendees.

For those who are not able to make it, how about some Live Internet Streaming!

When we launched the Kickstarter campaign we set a stretch goal to stream the show live. With help of our sponsors and dogged determination, we are going to give it a try. Had we raised the funds for the stream, we’d planned for it to have been professionally produced.

Since we can’t bear not sharing this great event with the world, we will are working to set up live, Amiga-compatible streaming for everyone. Please stay tuned as we will release more details as they get worked out over the coming weeks.

If you’d like to help support our efforts with the show and to get streaming up and running, please consider purchasing a donation ticket at our eventbrite page!

The very cool final item. One of our Premier Sponsor, Cloanto, is generously donating a copy of Amiga Forever Plus Edition to every attendee! Amiga Forever is the premier Amiga emulation package, the plus edition is a $29 value!

Thank you Cloanto!

Hi Amigans,

the computer club IN-Berlin will also celebrate the 30th annyversary of Amiga computers. I am the initiator of that party in Berlin. I think we cannot provide a stream but I would be very happy if you would provide a link for us in Berlin. 🙂

I wish you a lot of fun with your amiga celebration.

If you do not mind, send me an email with the link to the stream. Anyway I will watch your website.

Kind regards

Michael
